HAPPY 101st Birthday Nanny!!!

We drove up to Interlachen (Palatka area) on Saturday to celebrate our great-grandmother's birthday on Saturday at Frank and Marlene's place. It's always so nice to see all the family up there. We love them so much! They gave us books of Nanny's life story/history that she wrote when she turned 90. She is holding up so well and is still just so fun to talk to! I can't begin to even put into words how much it means to us to be able to have her around still, how much it means to know that my dad has childhood memories in his grandmother's house that I too have childhood memories in that same house of my great-granmother's and how many memories that she has to share with us of her long life. We are very thankful for her!
Happy Birthday, Nanny!

Here is scout on the way up. He couldn't get comfortable in the back seat. I think he was just jealous of me because I was riding up front instead of him. What do you think? :)

Brian, Gracey, Nanny and I. Dad, Crystal and Nanny. Nanny and her children - missing Barbara and June (my grandmother). We had dad take a "myspace" picture with Nanny. She thought it was just way too close and he had to tell her that's the way it's done these days and she laughed! Here is Nanny and all of her great-great grandchildren. How many people can have a picture like this??? Amazing! Dad's brother and his family came down from South Carolina to join in the celebration. It was so great to see them again! We didn't get to spend enough time though. Hopefully we'll be planning another get together sometime soon! Frank and Marlene have a few horses. Of course we had to see them and get pictures!

They also had a couple bulls. This one was so sweet. He was very much a people lover! The girls were petting him.
The blonde is my cousin Stevie's daughter, Baxley. Her and Gracey are pretty close in age and both lovers of horses! It's no wonder that they didn't leave eachother's side the whole day.

Thank you so much to all of the San Mateo family for having the get together, thank you Frank and Marlene for hosting and thank you to the entire family for being there!
