Wild Children

Brandon and Sarah have been down for a week now. It's been absolutely wonderful! All three of the kids have been very good this past week. They have been staying most days with Stephanie except for Wednesday, Brian stayed home with them and Monday, Beth took them for the day. Brian wanted to take them to Juniper Springs, which is where we used to go a few years ago. They drove all the way out there and found out that they closed the access down and there's a $500 fine if you are caught there. :( We are all so sad! It was one of our favorite places to go! Stephanie says that the kids have been very good for her during the day, and they have been so helpful to me at night. All three of them have helped to keep their rooms cleaned and clean off the dinner table each night. One day I came home and Sarah was in my room hanging all my laundry that I had left out. She has been doing little things like this every day. On Wednesday, Sarah and I had a conversation about wedding rings. She wanted to know why the first ring you get is always so much bigger. I told her "because girls like diamonds". Later that evening I went for a walk by myself. I guess because I told the girls that they could not go with me Sarah thought that I was mad about something. When I got back about an hour later, she was standing outside waiting for me. She ran up to me with a picture in her hand that she had drawn for me. On the picture, she wrote, "I love you more than 15,000 dimens". There are not words for me to express what a wonderful little woman she is becoming and I am so proud to be her mommy #2! And now, because Sarah is being so helpful, Gracey has stepped up not to be outdone by her sister (of course I make sure to praise Sarah in front of the other kids - they must not like that she's getting all the attention). I haven't gotten too many new pictures taken of them yet, but I will post them when I do.

  2. So glad you guys are enjpying your family time. Kids learn from the environment they are surrounded by and the love they are giving back to you is a refelction of yourself!
